Introduction
If
the whole
council and knowledge of the Creator were likened to lake Erie, then our
individual knowledge, revelations, and understanding of life would be in the
proportion of between a pond and a puddle.
No one person could ever possibly have it all, so we need to collectively
pool our ponds and puddles together in order to gain a broader paradigm of life.
This site will therefore always be under construction simply because
there is no end of learning and change in this life.
The material that will be posted here represents an incomplete and inadequate
download of a lifetime of learning and experience.
Christian fellowship is primarily based
on doctrinal beliefs. How can two walk together unless they are in
agreement? Fellowship around the Messiah is a distant second – but
greatly improving with the passing of time. So we primarily choose whom we will
fraternize with based on a person’s particular labels and associations.
I want to save you some time and trouble by identifying my labels and
associations right up front. They
are: Pentecostal/Charismatic; Covenant Theology; Amillenial. I realize that this
is an uncommon combination, but is indeed a matter of fact. My past associations have been Assembly of God,
Messianic, Rhema, Vineyard. Of course, the viewpoint here is colored to some
degree by these associations and you may have to filter out the bias.
Hopefully it won't be too intense.
The thesis of this site is to analyze the
infrastructure of Christianity for this is what we hang all of our beliefs on
and it is the basis of our paradigm or world view of life.
There is a logical structure of principles and concepts, which allows the
great majority of our knowledge to logically interconnect together.
This is opposed to isolated religious "beliefs" which may be
logically incompatible with each other and remain in our minds void of any
realized structure. There is also the problem of pseudo logic, which produces a
warped outlook, and understanding of life. The Bible is a logical book – but
based on Gods logic - and not ours. We must discover what his logic is.
The primary basis and main emphasis for
this site is a viewpoint based on the character and purposes of the Creator.
This is a major input into the interpretation of the infrastructure
covered on this site.
Personally, I have done engineering work
most of my life. Primarily in the
areas of process development, troubleshooting, and some machine and tooling
design. The difficulty in this kind
of work is to establish precisely what the design parameters are and then look at
different solutions and evaluate the ramifications of each possible solution.
Often the solutions are easier than the analysis.
Cost, functionality, maintenance, productivity, upkeep, cost of operation
are a few of the parameters that are considered in choosing a possible design
solution. This kind of logic can also be applied to the Bible as you will see
because there are design problems in creation as well. However, we
will sometimes be using reverse engineering, starting from the final decision as
we know it and working backwards toward the original choices and problems.
This site is being done piecemeal and
will take at least a year to get up to speed. There will probably be enough new
material here to fill a book, but with the internet there is no need to write a book
these days - if one’s purpose is simply to communicate some information. It
seems today that everybody has a book to sell. I don’t think our mercenary
practices are a good thing because the American Church has slowly fallen into
the despicable habit of packaging all of its teachings and gifts to sell to the
upper middle class to the exclusion of the working class and lower middle class
of people. I wonder what our true motives are for doing so. this
practice has been rationalized into a level of acceptance mostly because
everyone does it. Nothing here is copyrighted or restricted in use.
If you happen to find something of value in the writings, just pick it up put it
in your pocket and take it with you. this site does not solicit money or
gifts.
